After the exile of Porfirio DÃaz and the election of Francisco I. Madero as president of Mexico, Victoriano Huerta leads a coup d'etat that culminated in the assassination of Madero and Pino Suarez. The usurpation of the presidency at the hands of Huerta causes several revolutionary leaders such as Francisco Villa and Venustiano Carranza, to take up arms again.
