Georgie goes to Cornwall with her best friend Belinda to inspect a spooky house Belinda has inherited. While there, the house proves untenable so the pair are invited to stay with Rose, a woman Belinda knew as a child. Rose is now married to Belinda's childhood crush, Tony. When Rose confides that she thinks Tony might have killed his first wife, Georgie and Belinda investigate. But when Tony turns up dead during a thunderstorm, all fingers point to a creepy housekeeper who is harbouring a dark secret.
