Alex and Shimmer have their hands full with a serial killer draining the bank accounts of elderly women before sending them into early retirement. Even worse, he's a shifter - able to change shape to match his victim's deepest desires. Their friend Bette has volunteered to act as bait, but if there's one thing Shimmer knows for sure, even the best laid plans can go dangerously awry.
