Riggs's introductory title offers value in its ability to enrich vocabulary for babies and toddlers in a fun and easy way. The illustrations, comprised of a palette of mauve, taupe, orange, blue, and cream with bold black outlines, are simple but with enough action to create additional dialogue with a child. On each spread, a different vehicle is energetically portrayed, with line art giving a sense of movement. Slower modes of transportation have curly lines trailing behind, while faster vehicles have straight lines, except for the rocket, which has a blast of energy propelling it into a starry realm.
