This third entry in an innocuous series of picture books features a toylike bear family living in a softly colored town. Young Patrick is ill, and his parents and Dr. Beaker, a wise old owl, try to cheer him up and cure him. The slight story might appeal to very young listeners, but there is too much text for them to enjoy. From HORN BOOK Spring 2004, (c) Copyright 2010.
