Lawyer Casey Jordan returns in this story of an illegal Mexican immigrant shot to death by rising political star Senator Chase. As Casey becomes embroiled in the case she uncovers evidence of a cover-up and, in going after the Senator, soon makes everyone close to her a target for a man who appears to be above the law.
