British forensic anthropologist David Hunter investigates a baffling series of murders in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Hunter is confronted with a killer who is intimately familiar with the intricacies of forensics, booby-traps corpses, fakes times of death, swaps bodies and finally turns his sights on Hunter himself.
