The land of summer
When Emmaline is swept off her feet by Julius, a young man she meets at a ball, she accepts his marriage proposal and leaves America to join him in England. What greets her however is not the glorious home that he has described. Instead the house is full of odd guests and eccentric servants and Julius himself seems to be changing beyond recognition.
