In nineteenth-century France a young woman living in the countryside stumbles across a ruined Visigoth sepulchre which holds the clue to a timeless mystery. As she investigates the mysteries of the past, she discovers the existence of a deck of tarot cards that is rumoured to hold the power of life and death.
