Pregnancy and Diabetes : A Real-Life Guide for Women with Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational Diabetes

How To Read This Book This book is meant to address your specific needs and provide you realistic insight into the daily struggles of pregnancy with diabetes. This book is separated into four sections: gestational diabetes, type 2 diabetes, type 1, and resources for all. They are separated to cover more in-depth the specific aspects unique to the type of diabetes. In each of the three sections, you will find insights specific for each condition. The last section, Resources for All, is meant to cover information and strategies helpful to ALL pregnant women, regardless of the type of diabetes. Here you will find useful resources such as like snack ideas, meal plans, Q&A section, Apps and Technology, and Stress Management, so make sure to read it all! If you have gestational diabetes, I would encourage you to first read that section, followed by resources for all, but you might also benefit from reading type 2 diabetes section. Conversely, if you have type 2 diabetes, I would encourage you first read that section, Resources for All. If you are not taking medications, I recommend you read Section 1 where you can find helpful information. If you are on medications like insulin or even using a pump follow along into section 3 where you might find helpful information on technology and what to expect in each trimester. This book is easy to read and you can find a wealth of information by reviewing all the sections. In the end, all pregnant women with diabetes share one common goal: Having a healthy baby!
