Anne of Green Gables
Anne of Green Gables has been a popular series of novels since the first book was published more than 100 years ago. Everyone can relate to the main character, Anne Shirley, who a smart and imaginative orphan who must persuade a middle-aged farmer and his sister to adopt her. Based in the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island, the story unfolds as Anne attends school in the community of Avonlea, gets accustomed to home life at the Green Gables farm, and unintentionally finds herself in the middle of mischief throughout.
