Summary
Gifts for Kids to Make
From decorated notebooks, bookmarks, and refrigerator magnets to edible treats, shell mobiles, and key rings, this inviting manual provides step-by-step directions for more than 50 projects, one on each double-page spread, that children can do themselves with adult supervision (at least one requires use of the stove). Some, which use clay and salt dough, are for messy crafters; others are for neat and tidy ones. There are sewing projects as well as fun art projects, such as painting round stones to make pebble pets with funny goggle-eyes. Instructions, suggested age level (a few are for crafters older and younger than the target audience), and time requirements for each craft are accompanied by lots of color photographs of kids busy with all kinds of activities. A good addition to the crafts shelves. Hazel Rochman Copyright © American Library Association. All rights reserved
