When Reggie beats the gang at a video game, he becomes, King of the Month, and his royal decree includes forming a band, the Reggies. When Jug uploads their terrible recording session online, the video goes viral, and newfound fame throws everyone's lives into chaos. Later, Sabrina helps Jug get into a Josie and the Pussycats concert, but a botched spell means he receives far more female attention than he'd ever desire. In the action-packed opening pages, bright colors saturate the racing game. At the concert, Charm satirizes the Archie horror line with dramatic, dreary, orange-and-blue pages. Throughout, his playful, expressive style emphasizes every debacle, punch line, and awkward pause; in some panels, characters silently glare at other characters. Reggie's vanity and insults are especially welcome, as Charm draws him with an already iconic, perpetually squinty-eyed smirk. As always, the team of writers packs in extra jokes by including bizarre yet chuckleworthy commentary at the bottom of the page. Another hilarious collection of high jinks and hamburgers that fans will surely savor.--Hyzy, Biz Copyright 2018 Booklist
