The author does a wonderful job of depicting Matt's point of view, making it clear that he's attracted to Frankie even more because of her superfluous eyewear. Frankie is an adorable and lovable character whom readers will passionately champion. She's amusing and cute as she tries her best to avoid the man who sets her heart afire, and the warm and clever way Matt pursues her will make any reader swoon.
